(I installed Longhorn Transformation Pack and that transformed the look of my desktop considerably. Downloaded Yahoo! Widgets Engine and a Digital Clock with it to enhance the look of my desktop. Another widget helps me to tune in to the live streaming BBC Radio I and I am currently enjoying it. Downloaded Trillian, installed it and uninstalled it. Still working on the GSM CDMA presentation.)

Kolkata Book Fair | Sourav Ganguly

29 Jan

The 31st Kolkata Book Fair is going on at the Maidan Grounds..I have not yet got time to visit it this time…Last year I went to the Fair thrice! The main attraction to me is the atmosphere there.
Spain is the focal theme this year. And one more important thing is that this is going to be the last fair at the Maidan Grounds…From next year is to shift to somwhere near the EM Bypass.
(All fairs taking place on the Maidan Grounds will be shifted to new locations to protect the greenery.) I myself support this move but the new locations must be well connected or else Kolkata Book Fair will loose it’s charm. After all, the fair is an important event in the city’s calendar.

Sourav Ganguly is back in the third Indo-Pak Test match that has just started at Karachi. He has replaced Harbhajan Singh who went wicketeless in the last two Tests. India is off to a magical start. Pathan claimed a hattrick and Pakistan is at present reeling at 13/4. Earlier Dravid won the toss and elected to bat.
For Sourav, I think this is I think his final chance to prove his critics wrongs. Because even if he fails in a pitch where it is impossible to bat, his critics will bounce on him so hard I dont think he will be able to make a comeback….But knowing Sourav’s temperament he will take up the challenge. And if he is successful in this pitch he will silence his critics for some time atleast.
As far as I guess, he will be selected in the ODI series against Pakistan starting from February 6.
